Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on August 9 1976 the youngest child of four. Her parents who was both dentists and teacher, were aware of and encouraged their daughter's love for acting and drama on the age of a stage novice. This support was enough to combat her goal of becoming a primatologist. Her meteoric rise as an actress in her early years was rapid and accompanied by her early successes. The beginning of her career came in 1999, the year she first began performing professionally. In the years following her studies, Tautou took part in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Though she was a student at the Institut Catholique de Paris and attended church in her youth Tautou has distanced herself from her religious upbringing and has stated that she's not Catholic. In addition to her acting career she started a modelling career. She is also the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. Alongside her acting work she also has an interest in photography. Recently, she exhibited a selection photos at the Arles Film Festival with the name Superficial. The majority of her photographs concern fame and celebrity. The exhibit also includes an assortment of portraits of herself as well. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and fame with her starring role in Le Fabuleux Destin in the film d'Amelie Pouulain. Amelie was a box-office international film that received acclaim at award ceremonies around the world. It is currently the most successful French language movie on the market in US. In the years following this film, Tautou appeared in a variety of films, ranging from British dramas to Jean Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de Faancailles. After that, she shifted to Hollywood and starred with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
